Printed Apparel · DTF

Big color. Your kind of statement.

A family trip, a business idea, or a design you’ve been wanting on a shirt—let’s put some color to it. We print and apply our DTF transfers in our Jamestown shop, with help choosing suitable clothing and getting the details right.

DTF means Direct to Film. Print it: your design goes onto special film. Press it: adhesive, heat, and pressure bond it to the shirt. Rock it: peel the film and wear the fun. Illustrated with a colorful buffalo design, from printer to heat press to finished shirt. Big color, small details, tees and hoodies.

Print. Press. Wear.

What Is DTF? Glad You Asked.

DTF stands for Direct to Film—which is a pretty technical name for a simple idea: putting a colorful design on a shirt you’ll actually want to wear.

Here’s how it works: we print your artwork onto a special film, add an adhesive, and use a heat press to bond the design to your garment. Peel away the film, and your design stays behind. Print. Press. Wear.

The design sits on top of the fabric, so you’ll feel it when you run your hand across it. Larger, solid designs feel more noticeable than smaller designs with open space. We can help you find the right balance between the look you love and a shirt that feels good to wear.

Big Color. Small Details. Plenty of Possibilities.

DTF is a great option for colorful logos, detailed artwork, and designs with shading or gradients. It works on many cotton, polyester, and blended garments, giving you plenty of choices for:

  • Business and team apparel
  • Family reunions and special events
  • Fundraisers and group shirts
  • That “this needs to be on a T-shirt” idea

Have an idea but aren’t sure where to start? Bring us your logo, artwork, or rough idea. We’ll help you figure out whether DTF is a good fit—and take care of the technical alphabet soup.

One idea, carried through

Make the memory part of the design.

The G’s Camp project brought a road-trip theme across apparel and keepsakes. That is the kind of conversation we like: not just “print this,” but “here’s what we’re celebrating.”

Made for the way you’ll use it

Let’s make it your kind of shirt.

How many do you need, where should the design go, and what finish suits the idea? Here are a few choices we can work through together.

A few shirts can be a worthwhile project

You don’t have to invent a large order to start a conversation. Tell us the quantity you need for your business, family, club, or event. We’ll explain garment availability, preparation costs, and any minimum that applies.

Small chest marks or larger graphics

A discreet logo and a bold front or back design do different jobs. We’ll help plan the size and placement around the garment and the look you want, including how a larger printed area will feel.

The right decoration for the idea

DTF is one option, not the answer to everything. Embroidery offers the texture of stitching; printed apparel offers another route for colorful artwork and larger graphics. We’ll help match the method to your garment, design, and budget.

From “what if” to “let’s do it”

From your idea to a finished garment.

These are things we can work through together—not a checklist you have to finish before contacting us.

  1. Tell us about the shirts

Who are they for, how many might you need, and what kind of garment do you have in mind? A rough plan is enough.

  2. Work through the design

We’ll review the original artwork, intended size, placement, and background. You do not need to prepare a transfer sheet yourself.

  3. Print, press, and check

After you approve the garment, artwork, price, and timing, we print the transfers, prepare and apply them, and inspect the finished apparel. We’ll provide care guidance for your order.

Something else on your mind?
Let’s talk ↗

What artwork should I send?

The cleanest original file you have is a good start. We’ll review resolution, background, and size before printing.

Can I order different shirt sizes?

Yes. Include your size breakdown if you have it. We’ll check availability and confirm garment and decoration costs.

Can you print a photograph or a detailed design?

Send the best original file you have. We’ll review its resolution and how it will reproduce at the intended size before confirming it for the garment.

Do I have to order a large batch?

Tell us the quantity you actually need. We’ll review the garment, artwork, and setup and explain the price and any minimum that applies to your project.

Can I use a design I found online?

Use artwork you own or have permission to reproduce. If you are unsure what file or permission you have, mention it when we discuss the project.

Can you remove the background from my artwork?

We can review the file and discuss any cleanup needed. A white box in an image may print as part of the design unless it is removed. We’ll confirm the intended background and any artwork cost before production.

How do I care for printed apparel?

Follow the garment label and the care guidance supplied with your order. Avoid ironing directly over the print. If the clothing needs frequent high-heat washing or unusual cleaning, tell us before selecting the garment and decoration.

What does in-house DTF mean for my order?

We’ve offered DTF-decorated apparel before. Now we can print the transfers ourselves as well as apply them, giving us more control over the production steps. You still start the same way: tell us what you’d like made.

Does in-house printing mean same-day service?

Not automatically. Design preparation, approvals, garment availability, and our schedule all matter. Tell us your needed date early and we’ll confirm what is realistic before you order.

Can you decorate any fabric?

Not every garment is a good fit. Fabric, coatings, seams, and heat sensitivity can affect the result. Check with us before purchasing items for decoration so we can review the particular garment.
